Kids Ministry at The Parish Church

Our goal at The Parish is to partner with parents to love the next generation and lead them to life in Jesus Christ.  Our goal is to create a safe environment which sets the foundation in young hearts that church is a place for both learning and fun. Parents can take comfort in knowing that their kids are receiving exceptional, loving care while our teachers proclaim what Jesus has done. We long to see the heart of every child transformed by the glory and grace of Jesus Christ.

FAQ's

We know it can be a little overwhelming to bring your kids into a new environment. Here are a few frequently asked questions. If you still have questions just reach out to Kalie and she will answer any questions you may have.

How does check-in and pick-up work?

If you’re new, look for the Kids Ministry Info Table located at the entrance of the Kids Area. One of our volunteer team members will help you and your child check in and get you where you need to be. After your first visit, you will use your telephone number to check in your child on your own at any available  kiosk in the lobby (Birth through Pre-K or K-5th Grade). At check-in, you will get a name tag for your child to wear and a parent pick-up tag for you to keep. Those tags both have the same identification code on them that is exclusive to your family that day. After service, you will return to your child’s area with your parent pick-up tag and show that your tag’s code matches your child’s name tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

What safety measures do you have in place?

Your child’s safety is a big priority to us! As mentioned above in more detail, when you check in your child, you receive a name tag for your child and a parent pick-up tag for you. These tags have matching identification codes. Also, all of our volunteer team members have current background checks on file (we use Checkr), and we have a trained security team that closely monitors Kids area and other facilities.

How will my kid learn?

We believe that church should be fun for people of any age! In each setting, we use technology, fun activities, skilled volunteers, and small groups so children experience for themselves who God is, how He sees them and how much He loves them. We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group. As families commit to attending the same service each week, kids are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.
